Photoshop to CSS for Free

psd-to-css-for-free

This remarkable online tool will create a CSS website out of a layered Photoshop file (you can also use The Gimp for free if you don’t have Photoshop)

The trick is to make sure that each element that you want separated is on it’s own layer. Simply upload your PSD file and download your new website.

If you want to get into advanced features it can even help you create rollover links, animated buttons, menus, forms, scrolling content and much much more with little to no coding on your part. These are achieved by using certain naming conventions such as adding ‘_inputtext’ to a layer name to tell psd2css what to do with that layer. There are a dozen or so tutorials on the site that will help you take advantage of the advanced features but creating a basic site requires almost no preparation.
